Assam Police Foil Infiltration Bid, Two Bangladeshi Nationals Pushed Back

Two Bangladeshis, who tried to enter India illegally were apprehended by the Assam Police and sent back, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday.

Assam CM, however, did not specify from which district the two infiltrators were pushed back.
Taking to X, he said, “Keeping a strict vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @assampolice apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals and pushed them across the border.”
Earlier on Friday, at least five infiltrators — four Rohingyas and a Bangladeshi — were sent back to Bangladesh by Assam Police from Sribhumi district, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
‘Five illegal infiltrators pushed back. Maintaining strict vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @sribhumipolice apprehended 4 Rohingya and 1 Bangladeshi near the border and pushed them back’, the CM posted on ‘X’.
The CM Sarma on Thursday had claimed that 305 infiltrators have been sent back in the last seven months and said ‘we are committed to an infiltration-free Assam’.
