Manipur: Two men shot by unknown armed miscreants in Imphal East

Heingang Police Station has launched a search operation in the area to gather more information and track down those responsible for the attack.

In a shocking incident, at least two men were shot in their legs by unknown armed miscreants in Imphal East on Tuesday.

The attack took place around 7 PM near Asha Club in Khundrakpam, Imphal East under Heingang Police Station.

One victim has been identified as a resident of Sagolband, and the other is said to be from Sekta.
As per inputs, the unknown attackers, carrying arms, opened fire on the two men, targeting their legs before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, the locals who witnessed the attack immediately rushed the injured men to the Imphal East District Police, who took the necessary steps to ensure the injured received medical attention.

Authorities are investigating the incident, but they are yet to determine the motive behind it.
