While political parties are distributing tickets to their candidates for the upcoming Panchayat Polls, the Asom Gana Parishad has raised quite a few eyebrows by giving ticket to a convicted poacher.
AGP have given the ticket for the post of president of the Mori Dhansiri village Panchayat to notorious poacher Ganesh Doley, who has been jailed a few times on charges of killing rhinos.
There are still a few pending cases against Doley at the Golaghat district court. Doley, who hails from the Moh Maiki village, even admitted to the fact that he was formerly a poacher.
