NFR has also announced special examination trains to assist candidates traveling across Assam for the examination.

The Assam government is gearing up to conduct the final phase of the Assam Direct Recruitment Examinations (ADRE) for Grade IV posts tomorrow. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that over 13 lakh candidates are expected to appear, with exams set in two shifts to accommodate the large turnout.

In a recent video message, the CM specified that the two shifts would cater to candidates based on their educational qualifications. The first shift, with approximately 8,27,000 candidates, is intended for matriculates, while the second shift, expecting around 5,52,000 candidates, is for those with educational qualifications below matriculation. He assured that the examination would be conducted peacefully, following the success of the first two phases.

To ensure transparency, candidates will be allowed to retain their question booklets post-exam and will receive their OMR sheets. This mirrors the approach taken in the previous examinations held on September 15 and 29, where candidates for Papers III, IV, and V were allowed to collect their OMR sheets from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).

The exams, crucial for filling various Grade IV positions across Assam’s state government departments, will take place across 28 districts. To prevent malpractices, mobile internet services will be suspended statewide on October 27 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has also announced special examination trains to assist candidates traveling across Assam for the examination.

This final phase marks a significant milestone in Assam’s commitment to fair and efficient recruitment, reinforcing the government’s dedication to a transparent selection process.
