Tinsukia firing: Pro-talk ULFA leader Jiten Dutta detained; Mrinal Hazarika summoned by Panbazar police

Police have swung into action issuing summon notices and detaining at least two pro-talk ULFA leaders. While, pro-talk ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika has been issued a summon by the Panbazar

Police have swung into action issuing summon notices and detaining at least two pro-talk ULFA leaders.

While, pro-talk ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika has been issued a summon by the Panbazar police station in Guwahati and pro-talk leader Jiten Dutta has been detained for questioning by the police.

Dutta has currently been held at Gaurisagar police station in Sivasagar district for questioning.

Meanwhile, the army has launched combing operations to apprehended those behind the incident.

All army units under the 82 Mountain Brigade based in Laipui in Tinsukia district and in Lohitpur in Tezu district of Arunachal Pradesh have been put on alert and a massive combing operation has been underway in the area.

The operation is being overseen by the GOC of the brigade.
