Jilted Lover Stabs Girl Multiple Times In Guwahati

The victim is currently undergoing treatment for injuries to her abdomen and neck at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

In a shocking incident, a young girl was stabbed brutally multiple times by a man in Guwahati on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 9 PM in Hatigaon area when the victim was returning to her rented accommodation after buying essentials.

The accused has been identified as Bikash Deka, who stabbed the victim in her neck and abdomen multiple times leaving her in a pool of blood at the spot.

Soon after committing the crime, the accused fled from the spot but was soon arrested by the Hatigaon police from the Fatashil Ambari area in the city.

Police also recovered the knife used in stabbing.

According to police sources, it is a case of love affair which had previously ended but turned sour

The victim is currently undergoing treatment for injuries to her abdomen and neck at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

Further investigation is underway.
