Arunachal Police Seize 150 kg Cannabis in Bhalukpong, Consignment was Headed for Assam

Authorities conducted a routine check when they discovered the narcotics concealed in white polythene bags inside the car.

The Bhalukpong police in Arunachal Pradesh made a significant drug seizure, confiscating 150 kilograms of pressed cannabis from a vehicle on October 15.

The drugs were recovered from a car driven by Thulunga Wary, a resident of Dhekiajuli in Assam’s Sonitpur district.

Authorities conducted a routine check when they discovered the narcotics concealed in white polythene bags inside the car. Preliminary investigations revealed that the drugs were sourced from Kalaktang and were to be delivered in Assam.

The successful operation was spearheaded by Inspector Thumgon Tali, along with his team, including ASI Thutan Tsering and several constables.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Pawan Kumar Yadav, IPS, SDPO, and Sudhanshu Dhama, IPS, SP of Bomdila, West Kameng District.

This is the third arrest in drug-related case by Bhalukpong police in just one month, emphasizing their commitment to combating drug trafficking in the region.

The operation was part of the ongoing Operation Dawn Initiative.
