NE CMs Mourn Ratan Tata’s Death, Says Void Left by Him Irreplaceable, Prays for His Eternal Peace

As the nation grapples with the profound loss of Ratan Tata, one of India’s most loved and respected industrialists, shock and grief resonate across the country. Tata’s demise has left an irreplaceable void, and tributes have poured in from all walks of life, reflecting the deep impact he had on the country.

Chief Ministers from the Northeastern region of India have joined in expressing their heartfelt condolences.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Manipur CM N Biren Singh, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang and Tripura CM Manik Saha have conveyed their deep sorrow over the demise of the business icon, recognizing his contributions not only to industry but also to society.

They prayed for his soul to find eternal peace, acknowledging the legacy of compassion and leadership he leaves behind.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma termed it as personal life and said that his simplicity and humility is something he will never forget.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Tata family and the nation which mourns the loss of an inspirational leader,” CM Sarma wrote on X.

Arunachal CM Pema Khandu said India has lost a towering figure today.

“A guiding light for generations, his legacy of compassion and leadership will continue to inspire.My condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Tata group. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” CM khandu tweeted.

Manipur CM said, “The loss is immeasurable.His profound impact on Indian industry and his unwavering commitment to philanthropy will remain a legacy that transcends generations.”

“Saddened by the demise of Lt Ratan Tata. An inspiring figure, a true patriot and a remarkable human being. May his soul RIP,” Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma tweeted.

“Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the legendary business icon and philanthropist, Shri Ratan Tata Ji. His visionary leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to social responsibility have inspired generations. My heartfelt condolences to the Tata family, his colleagues, and everyone whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti,” Tripura CM Manik Saha posted on X.

Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Golay said, “The world has lost a true icon, but his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.”

Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, passed away on Wednesday evening at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. He was 86.
The last Rites of the chairman emeritus of one of India’s biggest conglomerates will be performed at Worli crematorium.
Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, is the Chairman of Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust, two of the largest private-sector-promoted philanthropic trusts in India. He was the Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 until his retirement in 2012.
He was honoured with the country’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008.
