I Am Here to Win, to Represent Arunachal, Says Chum Darang, Shares Arunachalee Beliefs with Salman Khan in Big Boss 18

Dressed in a stunning red outfit, Chum showcased her fun and lively side as she joined Salman on stage, marking her moment as a dream come true

Chum Darang seems to be having fun in the Big Boss House. Popular model and actor from Arunachal Pradesh known for her roles in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do, Chum has officially entered the Bigg Boss 18 house as the eighth contestant. Committed to representing her home state, Darang expressed her pride and excitement about her participation in the reality show that is hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

In her introduction round Chum speaking to Salman Khan, shared about Arunachalee beliefs and said, “We believe if we dream of crossing something then it is said that something good will happen. I dreamt of crossing the river and now I am here. So we believe that dreams have a meaning and a good has happened”.

When asked why she is at the Big Boss House, Chum said, “I am here to have some fun, to win but more importantly to represent Arunachal Pradesh”.

As she embarks on this new journey, Chum Darang is set to bring her unique perspective and spirit from Arunachal Pradesh to the popular reality show, capturing the attention of viewers across the country.

On the premiere night on October 6, Darang dressed in a stunning red outfit showcased her fun and lively side as she joined Salman on stage, marking her moment as a dream come true.

Admitting to feeling nervous, especially about meeting Salman Khan in person, Chum added, “I have always seen him on screen, and now to meet and talk to him—honestly, I might just go blank!”

When asked if she is open to finding love or building strong friendships in the house, Chum said, “I am definitely open to making friends, and I hope that happens. But as for a relationship, that is not something I am looking for,” she said.

Salman Khan wished her well for this new chapter, while her playful banter with fellow contestants Nyra Banerjee, Shrutika Arjun Raaj, and Tajinder Singh Bagga set the tone for an exciting season ahead.

Chum Darang who will turn 33 this month, hails from Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh. She is also a social activist, and entrepreneur.
