Sikkimese Filmmaker Tempo Bhutia’s Short Film ‘Bhok’ Wins Best Indian Short Film Award at IIFF

The movie has also been nominated for 'Best Short Film' category (Horror/Suspense) at the Mokkho International Film Festival.

‘Bhok’, a Nepali language short film directed by Sikkimese filmmaker Tempo Bhutia has won the ‘Best Indian Short Film’ award at the Indian Independent Film Festival (IIFF) held in Kolkata today.

On winning the prestigious award, director Tempo Bhutia expressed his gratitude, saying, “I hope this is just the start. It is humbling for a new filmmaker like me to compete and eventually win.”

The film features actors–Dilip Rai, Banita Lagun, Mani Biswakarma, Sapana Tamang, and Rohit Sharma.

IIFF is based in Kolkata and honours independent projects from all genres, especially from those traditionally underrepresented in the global film industry.

The movie has also been nominated for ‘Best Short Film’ category (Horror/Suspense) at the Mokkho International Film Festival.
