India Couture Week 2024: Sonakshi Sinha opens up on her wedding outfit, bridal trends

Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23 in the presence of their loved ones at their residence in Mumbai. It was an intimate wedding.

Newlywed Sonakshi Sinha turned heads as the showstopper for acclaimed couturier Dolly J on Day 4 of India Couture Week 2024 in Delhi.
The actor looked gorgeous in her blush-pink outfit. She recalled her wedding day and shared what according to her is the new bridal wear trend.

While talking to the media, she shared, “I genuinely feel the simpler bride is going to be back. I honestly had the freedom to enjoy my wedding so much because I was so comfortable. And I was able to breathe and move around. And I didn’t stress myself out. So I think a simpler but beautiful bride, that’s going to be a forthcoming trend for sure.”

While talking about choosing the outfit for her marriage, she said, “It took five minutes for both of us to choose outfits. I was very clear in my head that I wanted to wear a red sari. And I was very clear in my head that for my actual signing and the wedding, I wanted to wear my mother’s sari and her jewellery, which is exactly what I did. So it was all in my head. And we just brought it to life on that day. We’re very not so fussy people.”
Dolly J‘s ‘La Vie en Rose’ is a collection inspired by the delicate beauty of flowers, and celebrates femininity and elegance. Each piece in the collection exudes sophistication and grace, with the lilac colour representing a feeling of calm and elegance. The use of sumptuous materials and exquisite decorations demonstrated the designer’s unrivalled attention to detail and commitment to crafting timeless items.

The ‘Dabangg’ talked about the collection and said, “It speaks for self and because it’s so blingy, we kept it minimal. I’m feeling extremely glamorous. I think that’s the beauty when designers make outfits like this that make a woman feel good from the inside. I’m feeling very glam, very pretty, very feminine and just flowy so I think that’s how an outfit should make a woman feel beautiful I think that’s the most important thing ever in your life.”
Recently, the actress shared a series of pictures from her bachelorette party. The theme of her party was ‘Sonamandi’. She opened up about the same and shared, “My friends wanted to do something elaborate when I wanted a very chill bachelorette so they said that it would have a theme and it was a Sonamandi theme.”
The civil wedding was followed by a wedding bash at Bastian which saw numerous Bollywood celebrities in attendance.
The reception was attended by a constellation of Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Vidya Balan with Siddharth Roy Kapur, and veteran actress Saira Banu, among others, who came to congratulate the couple and celebrate their union.
Sonakshi and Zaheer dated for seven years before solemnising their relationship.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi’s horror-comedy film ‘Kakuda’, which is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar was released on ZEE5 on July 12. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.
Dolly J Studio put on display their new collection that comprises beautiful shades of gold, lilacs, pink and sparkling silver.
India Couture Week 2024 kickstarted on July 24. Falguni Shane Peacock will be closing the fashion gala on July 31. (ANI)
