BJP General Secretary Sunil Deodhar declared that the party will contest from 2 seats in Tripura in the upcoming lok sabha elections 2019 and sounded confident that its coalition partner in the state, the IPFT will support the BJP.
This was announced after the Executive committee meeting of the Tripura state BJP was held at Dawai town of Khowai District on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by BJP General Secretary Sunil Deodhar, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Barama along with all the BJP ministers and other leaders in Tripura.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Deb Barma told the media that organisational and political issues were discussed. The issue that was given utmost importance was how the BJP can be strengthened in Tripura state.
