Sikkim: 40-Year-Old Woman Killed As Boulders Hit Vehicle in Sisney

A 40-year-old woman lost her life in Sikkim, while several others sustained serious injuries when massive boulders hit the vehicle they were travelling in.
As per reports, the deceased and the injured persons were travelling from Lingee in South Sikkim to Singtam when massive boulders rolled drown from the hill and hit the vehicle.
The incident was reported from Sisney near 10th Mile in Makha.
The injured persons have been taken to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment.
Sikkim has been battered by severe landslides over the past few days. National Highway 10 has been closed in multiple locations, completely isolating the Himalayan state from the rest of the country.
All land routes, airports, and chopper services have also been suspended in the state, isolating the state for the next three days.
Meanwhile, a war room has been set up, and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Golay is closely monitoring the situation.
Sources informed Northeast Live that FCI stock at Jorethang in South Sikkim is almost exhausted.
