Dibrugarh Jail Shocker: Family of inmate supposed to take him home after bail handed over his body in wheelchair

In a shocking and distressing incident at the Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam, the family of an inmate who had been released on bail were allegedly handed over his lifeless corpse while he was seated in a wheelchair.

As per inputs, Borgohain who had been brought to the jail just three days ago was granted bail yesterday and was supposed to be reunited with his family after his release.

However, when his family arrived at the jail to receive him, they instead received the shock of their lives, when they were allegedly handed over the lifeless body of Borgohain seated in a wheelchair by the jail authorities posed as if he was merely ill.

Speaking to media, a family member of the deceased inmate said, “We arrived at the jail yesterday to take Shailja Borgohain home as he was granted bail. He was handed to us by jail authorities in a wheelchair, and they asked us to rush to the hospital since he was not well. However, the truth is that Borgohain was already dead at that time.”

The circumstances surrounding his death and how his body was handed over to his family have led to a heated situation in front of the jail, with the family refusing to accept the body.

According to jail authorities, Borgohain mysteriously died at the jail.
