A video showing a shopkeeper at the Guwahati Railway Station charging exorbitant rates from consumers is going viral on social media.

The video was shared by an Instagram user avi_nash7086.
The user while filming the incident asked the shopkeeper as to why was he charging more than the MRP.
In his response the shopkeeper was seen telling the consumer to move away from the place. This despite the consumer telling that the printed MRP was not Rs 45 for a packet of cake but was only Rs 40.
But in his response, the shopkeeper was seen telling, “Go somewhere else and make a video.”
The shopkeeper at one moment even tried to snatch the phone away from the consumer telling him to go away.
Soon after the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section and commended the consumer for holding the shopkeeper accountable for charging extra.

Meanwhile, the Instagram user captioned the post stating, “Finally action has been taken against the shopkeeper and he has been penalised of ₹ 1000 and fired out from his job …..🙏✅”
