PM Modi reiterated his unwavering commitment to serving the nation and steering it towards prosperity.

The Delhi Police on Monday clarified that the animal seen during the oath-taking ceremony was merely a common house cat, clearing the air of it being a wild animal.

This came a day after PM Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term as the Prime Minister of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

“Some media channels and SM handles are showing an animal captured during the live telecast of the oath-taking ceremony held at the R.P. Bhavan yesterday, claiming it to be a wild animal. Claims of a wild animal at the ceremony are false. It was not wild. Ignore such baseless rumours,” Delhi Police posted on X.

“These facts are not true, the animal captured on camera is a common house cat. Please don’t adhere to such frivolous rumours,” it added.

The animal was spotted while BJP MPs Durgadas Uikey and Ajay Tamta were taking oath. As videos went viral on the internet, netizens shared their mixed reactions on social media. While a user called it a leopard, another called it a domesticated cat taking a stroll at the President’s House.

President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi, followed by other members of his team of ministers on Sunday.
