Followers spread across the state remembered the Saint by offering naam-kirtan at Naamghars.
Srimanta Sankardev holds significance in the cultural and religious history of Assam.
Srimanta Sankardev is widely credited with building on past cultural relics and devising Borgeet, Ankia naat, Bhaona and Sattriya Nritya.
The Sattras that he and his followers established continue to flourish and sustain his legacy.
