Assam: 5 agriculture officials suspended

Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora has suspended five officials of the district agriculture office for alleged dereliction of duty. The five officials are senior agriculture development officer Someshwar Prasad Verma,
Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora has suspended five officials of the district agriculture office for alleged dereliction of duty.
The five officials are senior agriculture development officer Someshwar Prasad Verma, head office assistant Abdul Rahman, assistant agriculture inspector Gopi Mohan Goyeri, agriculture development officer Pankaj Chandra Das and agriculture extension officer Suren Prasad.
Sources said the officials were absent from duty on September 10. Bora has directed Deputy Commissioner Anant Lal Gyani to conduct an inquiry.
