Man elephant conflict in Assam has now reached an alarming level.

A wild jumbo strayed out of the Amchang wildlife sanctuary before finally going on a rampage in Guwahati’s Panjabari area.

Seven persons were injured as the elephant created ruckus in the area destroying vehicles and houses.

Those injured in the incident have been identified as Kaberi Saikia Bora, Babita Das, Priyamani Das, Hari Das, Omnath Bhattacharya, Abdul Mustaq and Mintu Ali.

Meanwhile, a few of those injured are stated to be in a critical condition.
