34 injured in a bus accident in Assam’s Hailakandi

The accident occurred after the bus lost control and hit a tree. 16 of the 34 injured are said to be critical.

As many as 34 people were injured when the bus they were travelling in met with an accident on Wednesday. The major road mishap took place at Aynakhal area in Assam’s Hailakandi district.

The injured persons were admitted to SK Roy Civil Hospital in Hailakandi from where they were later reffered to the Silchar Medical College & Hospital for further treatment.

Some of the injured persons have also appealed to the government for assistance.

Earlier this month, a Guwahati bound bus from Tripura met with an accident at Dittokcherra in Dima Hasao district claiming the life of one person on the spot and several others were left injured.
