Building People-Police Connect: Newly appointed Meghalaya DGP Idashisha Nongrang to start Janta Darbar to address grievances Newly appointed Meghalaya Director General of Police, Idashisha Nongrang will be holding a three-hour long public grievance meeting every week, in an effort to bring the Police closer to the public. Calling it an Open House, the DGP said the exercise is meant to change the perception of the people towards the police. Speaking to the Media, Nongrang said, the perception of the people is that the Meghalaya Police is hostile towards them and this needs to be corrected. Nongrang added, every Thursday from 11 am to 2 PM anyone can meet and talk to the DGP without any appointment.
