Sikkim: 2 dead, 4 including 4-year old injured in road accident in Singtam

In a tragic incident reported from Sikkim, two persons were killed and 4 others including a 4-year old child were griveously injured after the cab they were travelling in met with an accident at Sangkhola near Singtam this morning around 5 AM and plunged into the Rani Khola.

According to the reports, there were six passengers in the cab. The cab was on its way from Siliguri to Gangtok.

One of the passenger and the driver lost their lives in the road mishap.

The deceased have been identified as Rabindra Nath Paul hailing from Kolkata while identity of the driver is yet to be confirmed. The bodies of the deceaseds have been recovered.

Furthermore, four injured passengers were rescued and rushed to Singtam hospital for immediate medical treatment. They are all residents of Kolkata including a four-year-old girl, as per police.
