With the Panchayat by-elections set for September 30, the political temperatures are soaring in the state of Tripura.
Tripura Pradesh Congress alleged that the ruling allies BJP and IPFT are creating trouble for the Congress by hindering their political activities.
The BJP and IPFT supporters are making tent house in the BDO office to ensure that the opposition party cannot file their nominations.
In protest, the Tripura Pradesh Congress gheraoed the Election Commission’s Office demanding a free and fair election.
Tripura Pradesh Congress President Brijit Sinha who headed the protest demanded strict security in vulnerable areas including declaration of Section 144.
