Arunachal Repolling in 8 PS: 79.80% turnout recorded

The total voter turnout in the state now stands at 77.7% (Parliamentary Constituencies) and 82.95% (Assembly Constituencies).

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Pawan Kumar Sain today informed that the final voting percentage in the 8 polling stations that went to repoll has been recorded at 79.80%.

The CEO in a statement said, “Fresh poll in all the eight polling stations was completed as per the schedule of the Commission. All the polled EVMs and election materials were brought to the receiving centres in convoy and the polling parties reached their respective receiving centres on the same night under security cover.”

The Chief Electoral Officer also congratulated all the brave polling teams and security personnel for smooth conduct of free, fair and peaceful fresh poll at the 8 polling stations despite of footmarches in heavy rainfall.

The polling stations where fresh voting took place are Sario polling station in Bameng constituency of East Kameng district, Langte Loth in Nyapin constituency of Kurung district, Dingser, Bogia Siyum, Jimbari and Lengi under Nacho constituency of Upper Subansiri district and Bogne and Molom polling stations under Rumgong constituency of Siang district.
