Yet another BJP candidate is all set to be elected unopposed in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the total number of candidates to 8.

The latest BJP candidate set to be elected unopposed is Dasanglu Pul from the Hayuliang assembly constituency.

Dasanglu Pul’s Lok Jan Shakti Party opponent Thakjelium Tindya withdrew his nomination while Congress’ Bafutso Krong too withdrew his nomination.

Earlier in the day, BJP’s Itanagar candidate Techi Kaso also got the unofficial go ahead following the rejection of the nomination of NPP’s Tai Tadap.

In what can be termed unprecedented, the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh has already secured a massive lead with as many as 8 party candidates set to be elected unopposed.

So Arunachal Pradesh has set a record of sorts with the state all set to elect 7 BJP candidates unopposed in the polls to the 60-member State Assembly, elections to which are being held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who filed his nomination from Mukto Assembly constituency, leads the list of BJP candidates set to be elected unopposed.
Well, this will be the fourth time that Khandu would be elected unopposed from his traditional seat of Mukto.
Significantly, Mutchu Mithi, who has joined the BJP only a few weeks ago from the NPP, is also set to be elected unopposed from the Roing seat.
Apart from Mukto and Roing, other constituencies where the BJP candidates are set to be elected unopposed are Sagalee, Tali, Taliha, Ziro Hapoli and of course the latest addition to the list is Itanagar.
As per inputs, the BJP has planned a celebration at the party headquarters in Itanagar tomorrow post the official declaration of the results.
