Arunachal’s Ruba Juju clinches bronze at Youth Boxing World Cup Adriatic Pearl, first boxer from state to win int’l medal

Proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh. Boxer Ruba Juju has created history on Monday by becoming the first boxer from the state to win an international medal as he won a bronze medal at the Youth Boxing World Cup Adriatic Pearl held in Budva, Montenegro, from 3 to 11 March.
Juju, representing India at the tournament, impressed everyone with his drive and skill and won the medal in the 51 kg category.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated Juju and said that his accomplishment inspires the state’s youth and makes the state proud.
“Historic!Congratulations to Ruba Juju on clinching bronze at the Youth Boxing World Cup Adriatic Pearl and becoming the first boxer from the State to win an international medal.Your achievement not only makes us proud but will also inspire the youth of our State. Keep shining!,” CM Khandu posted on X.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also congratulated him on his achievement and wished him luck for his future endeavors.
“Congratulations Ruba Juju, on winning the bronze medal at the Youth Boxing World Cup Adriatic Pearl at Budva, Montenegro.You have created history by becoming the first boxer from Arunachal to win a medal in an international event. I wish you the best for your future endeavors. Looking forward to see more young talents from our State shine brightly at both national and global platforms,” Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein posted on X.
India won a total of five gold, nine silver and 12 bronze medals in the event.
Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association also congratulated Juju and said, “”#Historic Congratulations first International Boxing medal, Our Champ Mr Ruba Juju won the bronze medal in the Youth World Boxing Cup, 33 Adriatic Pearl, which was held in Budva, Montenegro, from 3 to 11 March. Today, You have made the whole Arunachal & Boxing family proud as continues your hard work more medals are waiting for You.”
