Arunachal Govt’s pre-Holi gift to state govt employees, hikes DA/DR by 4%

Good news for the government employees of Arunachal Pradesh. The state government has announced a big gift for them ahead of the Holi festival.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced a hike of 4 per cent in Dearness Allowance (DA) and a similar hike in Dearness Relief (DR) for 68,818 state government employees and 33,200 pensioners.

The hike will be effective from January 1, 2024.

With this, the DA and DR have increased from 46 per cent to 50 per cent.

CM Khandu said that under the guidance of PM Modi the double-engine government, led by Prime Minister Modi, is committed to the welfare of all citizens, especially those who work hard to provide government services.

Taking to X, CM Khandu said, “Delighted to announce a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) & Dearness Relief (DR), effective from January 1, 2024. This pre-Holi gift will benefit 68,818 State Govt employees and 33,200 pensioners. Under the guidance of Hon PM Shri
@narendramodi Ji, our double-engine sarkar is committed to the welfare of all citizens, including those dedicated to delivering government services. Let us continue to work diligently for all-round, inclusive growth of Arunachal Pradesh.”

Earlier, the DA was 38%, and with the increase in the DA rate, it now stands at 42%.
