Manipur CM Biren Singh launches Imphal-Ukhrul helicopter services

The Chief Minister also inaugurated 5 District Transport Offices (DTOs) for Kakching, Jiribam, Noney, Pherzawl and Kamjong districts at the Chief Minister's Secretariat in Imphal.
In a major boost to connectivity in Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today launched the Imphal-Ukhrul helicopter services with schemes from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The launch programme was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Leishamba Sanajaoba, Transport Minister Kashim Vashum, Chairman of Hill Area Committee Din-gang-lung Gang-mei, Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi, MLAs of Kakching, Jiribam, Kamjong, Ukhrul and several top ranking state government officials.
Taking to X, CM Singh said, “Pleased to launch the Imphal—Ukhrul—Imphal Route, Manipur Heli Service in the presence of Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and other officials at my secretariat office today.”
“The air route connectivity between Imphal and Ukhrul will serve as a convenient means of travel & transportation while boosting commercial activities between the two districts, and it will further help in strengthening developmental work in various sectors”, he added.
The Chief Minister also opened 5 District Transport Offices (DTOs) for Kakching, Jiribam, Noney, Pherzawl and Kamjong districts at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal.
