The PAJSC said that it is a tactic to make sure that the voices of those who are seeking welfare of the state is not heard.

Amidst concerns of potential disruptions during Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar’s Inaugural visit to Arunachal Pradesh, 6 members of the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee were detained last evening in Itanagar.

At least 6 members including PAJSC Vice Chairman Tadak Nalo were detained at the Itanagar Police station on Monday evening.

Expressing apprehension that the members might have been unjustly accused of unlawful activities, Social Activist and Advocate Ebo Mili personally visited the police station to seek clarification on their situation.

During his visit, he was informed about that PAJSC members were detained due to security measures and concerns over potential disruptions during Vice President visit.

“Even though this is injustice, our constituency permits us to hold a peaceful protest, whoever comes, even its VIP or VVIP, this peaceful protestor doesn’t obstruct public conveyance”, Mili said.

On Tuesday morning, the PAJSC said that it is a tactic to make sure that the voices of those who are seeking welfare of the state is not heard.

In the post, the PAJSC said, “This is a Grim Reminder to all the general public and the aspirants that the Government couldn’t resolve the long pending issue of APPSC cash for job scam, however they have once again pulled off it’s silly tactics to suppress the voice of the change seekers of the State. Now the decision is everyone’s to make. We Feel Insecure of Our Future.”

The PAJSC has appealed everyone to maintain peace and mentioned that it does not endorse any kind of violence.

“Team PAJSC-APPSC dosen’t endorse violence in any way with regards to the issue. Let’s maintain tranquility and peace,” the PAJSC wrote in its post.

Meanwhile, PAJSC had called for the boycott of the Arunachal Pradesh Statehood day as a mark of protest against the alleged inaction of the government on the APPSC cash for job scam.
The Vice President is in Itanagar for the Statehood day celebrations.
