Ordering food from restaurants via food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy is becoming a nightmare for many, as very often, they find themselves unpleasantly surprised by the presence of live insects or dead animals in their meal.

After a man and a woman in Bengaluru found a live snail and a dead cockroach in their meal ordered via Swiggy and Zomato, now another such incident has come to light from Haryana raising concern about the food delivery service industry.

A user, Sonai Acharya ordered a bowl of Japanese ramen from an Gurugram-based restaurant ‘Autie Fug’s’ via Zomato for Rs 379. However, when she opened the sealed pacakege, she found a cockroach in the food.

Acharya took to X to share her unpleasent experiece and shared pictures of the dead insect lying in the noodle soup and wrote, “Just had a horrific experience ordering from Zomato. Ordered Japanese miso ramen chicken from Auntie Fug’s and found a cockroach in my meal! Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Seriously disappointed with the quality control here. Zomato is beyond gross.”

The food delivery platform was quick to take note of the complaint replied to her tweet saying “Hi there, we are sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. We want to help turn this experience around. Please allow us some time to look into, we’ll get back to you ASAP.”
