Bangladesh to soon promote Northeast India tourism in country: Assistant High Commissioner

The Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati Ruhul Amin said that Bangladesh will soon start to promote Northeast India tourism in the country.

The Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati Ruhul Amin said that Bangladesh will soon start to promote Northeast India tourism in the country.

He was speaking at the conclusion of a Familiarization (FAM) Tour of a six-member Bangladeshi tourism delegation to Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to promote tourism in the region.

Speaking to the media, Amin said, “Bangladesh will soon start promoting Northeast India tourism in Bangladesh. Tourism Conclave with Business to Business (B2B) meet will be organised at Guwahati followed by Familiarization Tour to Bangladesh.”

Meanwhile the General Secretary of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Bangladesh chapter, Taufiq Rahman said, “The FAM Tour to Bomdila, Dirang, Sangti, Mandala and Bhalukpong in Arunachal and Kaziranga, Tezpur and Guwahati in Assam was very insightful and memorablememorable.”

He further, thanked the Ministry of Tourism of Government of India for the sponsorship, Arunachal Tourism for the support extended and Himalayan Holidays for managing the FAM Tour.

Earlier, the FAM Tour delegation members were accorded a warm reception at Guwahati airport by Anil Oraw, Regional Director (NE) India Tourism Guwahati, Barun Khaduju, All Arunachal Pradesh Transport Federation, West Zone Incharge and Miali Sidisow, President of Aka Hrusso Cultural Society. All women Aka cultural troupe also organised a cultural performance for the visiting Bangladeshi tourism delegation.
