Sikkim polls: SKM leader Jacob Khaling says CAP will cease to exist after 2024 polls

Jacob Khaling said that he has made the right prediction about the CAP's future

Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’s Spokesperson Jacob Khaling today said that the Citizen Action Party (CAP), formed a year ago, will cease to exist after the 2024 assembly elections. Hence, Khaling has suggested Ganesh Rai, the CAP chief as well as the party’s CM candidate to join the SKM and work for the betterment of the people.

Amid hectic politicking in Melli, Khaling spoke exclusively to Northeast Live and made this statement. He said, “He (Ganesh Rai) is a youth leader. If he really wants to do something, than the SKM is the only right platform for him. So, if joins us and works, we will be very happy. If he comes, it is fine and even if he does not come, it will not be a loss. I am saying this for his own good. Because after 2024 his party will cease to exist, just like AD Subba led Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad lost existence. This is my right prediction. Better than that he comes and joins us, since he is also a youth leader, let’s work together, it will be great.”

Asked if he wanted to leave a message for Ganesh Rai, after holding a massive rally in Melli, the home turf of the CAP leader, Jacob Khaling said, “Nothing like that, it is part of our daily meetings which are taking place in all the constituencies. Through these meeting we are reaching out to the people and telling them as to what the SKM government has done during it rule. On the basis of this, we are appealing the people to choose the SKM government once again.”
