A top Manipur minister has questioned the neutrality of a section of the central forces and said that the State Government condemns such actions.
Public Works Minister Govindas Konthoujam said this while paying tribute to the state security personnel killed in Moreh. Minister Govindas said that certain central security forces have not maintained neutrality and the Government of Manipur condemns it.
He added that the weapons used by the village volunteers in Moreh were highly sophisticated which should not have been available in the hand of a Village Volunteer.
He further added that a high Powered Security Meeting was held and all those materials that are required by Security Forces at Moreh had been provided and even Para Commandos were deployed at Moreh.
Minister Govindas Konthoujam added that the only way to resolve the present situation of Manipur is by handing over the power and chairmanship of the Unified Command to the Chief Minister.
