Manipur CM launches, lays base of projects worth over Rs 200 cr in Chandel district

The Manipur CM inaugurated projects worth Rs 126.54 crore, he also laid foundation of other key projects that would come up at the cost of Rs 86.45 crore.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today launched projects and laid foundation stone of projects worth Rs 213 crore in Chandel district.
The CM inaugurated projects worth Rs 126.54 crore and laid foundation of other key projects that would come up at an estimated cost of Rs 86.45 crore.
CM N Biren Singh shared details on X about projects and said, “I am delighted to announce the inauguration of projects worth Rs 126.54 crore and the foundation stones laying for Rs 86.45 crore worth of projects that will contribute to the upliftment of the state.
The projects, ranging from educational institutions to infrastructure development, reflect our commitment to creating a thriving and sustainable future for Chandel. As we embark on the implementation of these projects, I encourage the active participation and support of the people of Chandel.”
The newly inaugurated projects for Chandel district include:
Improvement/strengthening to 2-lane of Pallel-Chandel section of NH-102 C- Rs 71 crore
Construction of Chandel District Sports Complex- Rs 18.41 crore
Model Residential School at Mantri Pantha in Chandel district- Rs 25.62 crore
Construction of Girls’ Hostel for Minority students at Chakpikarong- Rs 2.50 crore
Upgradation of Phiran Leihao PS to UPS- Rs 0.67 crore
Construction of 150-ft Bailey Bridge over Chakpi River at Mantri Pantha- Rs 5.68 crore
Retrofitting of water supply scheme at Totun- Rs 0.50 crore
Retrofitting of water supply scheme at Songjang- Rs 0.53 crore
Retrofitting of water supply scheme at Liwa Sarei- Rs 0.61 crore
Retrofitting of water supply scheme at Lambung- Rs 0.50 crore
The projects for which CM N Biren Singh laid foundation for are-
Assuring that Chandel will experience rapid growth and development in the days to come, the Manipur Chief Minister said, “Chaired a cabinet meeting at DC Office, Chandel. With cooperation and support from all sections, we will achieve various milestones in terms of connectivity, infrastructure, health and education, etc for the overall growth and well-being of the people of Chandel.
The inauguration as well as foundation laying of the welfare projects in Chandel district is seen as a massive push to bridge the hill-valley gap through development.
