Assam’s COVID trajectory continues to witness a slight dip, with a total of 1,019 fresh cases being reported in the state in the last 24 hours. Of these, a total of 238 cases have been reported from the Kamrup Metropolitan district. With this, the state’s acute caseload stands at 13,786. In Assam we recorded a COVID positivity rate of 3.04 percent.
On the other hand, 19 COVID-related deaths occurred in the state in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 2,392 COVID patients were discharged yesterday after attaining full recovery. Assam currently has a recovery rate of 96.99 percent.
Mizoram continues to register a spike in the daily COVID-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, the state reported a total of 1,956 fresh cases, taking the state’s active tally to 15,632. On the other hand, 1,887 patients recovered from the illness yesterday.

Meghalaya reported 189 fresh COVID cases in the last 24 hours. This takes the active COVID tally in the state to 2,005. Moreover, four more COVID-19 related deaths were also reported from the state during the same time period, taking the death toll to 1,536. Meanwhile, 256 patients recovered from the illness yesterday.
Tripura, on the other hand, reported 68 fresh cases, pushing the state’s tally of active cases to 2,368. Besides, the state also reported 1 new COVID death, taking the death toll to 911 in the state. On the other hand, 508 patients recovered from the illness.
Meanwhile, Manipur reported 262 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. This takes the active COVID tally to 3,976. Moreover, 1 patient succumbed to the illness and 228 patients recovered from it in the same time period.
Sikkim reported a total of 62 fresh COVID cases in the last 24 hours, taking the positivity rate in the state to 6.8 percent with 655 active cases. Meanwhile, 126 patients recovered from the illness in the last 24 hours.
