Arunachal youth Miram Taron who had gone missing from Upper Siang’s Bishing area on January 18 has been released by the Chinese PLA today. The development was confirmed by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Twitter.
Taking to Twitter, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju informed that the Chinese PLA has handed over the youth from Arunachal to the Indian Army. Due procedures are being followed and a medical examination of the boy is being conducted.
Reportedly the Chinese PLA handed over Miram Taron to Indian Army at Wacha-Damai interaction point in Arunachal Pradesh today.
Minister Rijiju thanked the Indian Army for pursuing the case meticulously with PLA and safely securing the young boy’s repatriation to India.

Yesterday Rijiju had informed about Chinese PLA’s decision to return Miram Taron to the Indian side. However, the exact place and time of release were not disclosed.
Accordingly, the Indian Army coordinated the necessary arrangements with the Chinese side. And finally, today Miram Taron was released by the Chinese PLA.
17-year-old Miram Taron and his friend Johnny Yaying were reportedly abducted by the Chinese PLA from Bishing area near Jodi village in Upper Siang district close to the Indo-China international border on January 18.
However, his friend Johnny Yaying managed to escape from the clutches of the PLA.
