Despite being endowed with unparallel natural beauty and resources, the lack of proper infrastructure has always been a cause of concern for the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Even though the state has high tourism potential, most of the time, locals as well as tourists have always encountered the problem of poor road connectivity, particularly in the districts bordering China.

Northeatlive’s ground zero visit to the Upper Siang district, shares a boundary with China, found that the roads are still not up to the mark due to the several difficulties commuters have to face in reaching their destination.
The stretch between Yingkiong and Tuting in the Upper Siang district is in a pathetic condition. Although, some road construction firms are working, the progress made so far has been totally unsatisfactory. People in the area had urged the government to expedite the construction work so that they could witness development in its true sense.
