Meghalaya Cabinet meet approves proposals on consumer protection, employment & other key issues

The ruling Meghalaya Democratic Alliance on Tuesday held a cabinet meeting to discuss six issues including, consumer protection, court fees, employment schemes, besides others proposed in the cabinet.
Briefing media persons after the meeting, Cabinet Minister James Sangma informed that the proposed six issues were discussed and approved during the meeting.

The list of agendas includes the proposed list of holidays for the year 2022-23, the Introduction of the Court Fees Rules, the Meghalaya Consumers Protection Rules, 2021, Meghalaya Notification of Gaming Rules 2021, the draft proposal for amendment in the Meghalaya Compulsory Registration of Marriage Act, 2012 and the amendment to the Meghalaya Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme 2005.
