Arunachal: Two drug peddlers arrested in West Kameng, contraband recovered

Arunachal Pradesh police on Thursday arrested two drug peddlers at Balemu police check gate, in West Kameng district.

According to sources, Sub-inspector TD Kharma, the officer in-charge of Balemu police station intercepted a car bearing registration number AR 04 7548, based on information.

Meanwhile, police have recovered six vials of suspected heroine from their possession. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 has been registered.

Although the police have stepped up their war against drugs in the state. However, on the contrary, drug peddlers and addicts does not seem to have ceded their habits.
