The Arunachal Pradesh government on Wednesday handed over the Vijoynagar primary health centre (PHC) in Changlang district to Karuna Trust, a non-governmental organization.
During a programme, held to mark the occasion, Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang, along with Urban Development Minister Kamlung Mosang visited the primary health centre.
Addressing the gathering, Alo Libang informed that the state government has decided to handover the Vijoynagar PHC to Karuna trust with the sole motive of improving health service in the remote circle.
Meanwhile, UD Minister Kamlung Mosang, who is also the local MLA, expressed hope that with the NGO taking over operations of the PHC, adequate number of doctors, medicines and other medical staff will become available.
