Wishes poured in as Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal turned 59 on Saturday.

Assam Health, Education, and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to extend his greetings to CM Sonowal on his birthday.

“Heartfelt greetings and best birthday wishes to Hon CM of Assam Sri @sarbanandsonwal. I wish you always be blessed with good health and happiness and continue to serve with greater zeal,” Sarma tweeted.

Political leaders cutting across party lines, including bureaucrats have taken to social media to convey their best wishes to the Chief Minister.

Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted Sonowal on his birthday and wrote, “Warm greetings to the Chief Minister of Assam, Shri @sarbanandsonwal on his birthday. May you be blessed with good health and long life to continue serving the people of Assam.”

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh also extended his greeting to the chief minister, following which, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari wished for his good health and long-life.
