An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter Scale hit Manipur’s Moirang at 7:27 pm on Tuesday.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre was 43 km southwest of Moirang. The earthquake occured at a depth of more than 15 kilometres.

No loss to property and lives have been reported.

Earlier on June 21, a moderate intensity earthquake had hit Manipur. The epicentre of the quake was located 9 km from Ngopa area of neighbouring Mizoram.
