Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed his visit to Assam on February 7. This was informed by Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today.

The Prime Minister will visit the Bodo Territorial Region (BTR), said Assam Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The Prime Minister’s visit to BTR comes after the signing of the historic Bodo accord, earlier this week.

This will also be the Prime Minister’s first visit since the recent anti-CAA protests in the state.

Meanwhile, Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the issue of initiation of talks with the ULFA-I will be discussed with PM Narendra Modi during his visit.
