Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday amidst much speculations over the implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the state.

During the meeting Chief Minister Sangma apprised Home Minister Shah about the unanimous resolution adopted in the state legislative assembly demanding implementation of ILP in the state.

The Meghalaya chief Minister also informed Amit Shah that a delegation of different stakeholders from the state would like to meet him.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that the Home Minister’s response was positive. Sangma also briefed Amit Shah about the status of the district councils.
