Students of Meghalaya’s North Eastern Hill University on Wednesday stood in solidarity with the Jawaharlal Nehru University faculty and students.

The students staged protest against the atrocities faced by the JNU students in the past couple of days.

Protesters gathered outside central library of the university, condemning the incident. They also demanded better security cover for students and institutions.

Students across the nation have been protesting against the attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University by masked men wielding sticks on Sunday.

At least 40 students and staff of the university were admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
