The Manipur High Court has quashed the results of 2016 Manipur Public Service Commission’s examination.
The Court has also quashed the appointment of MPSC 2016 candidates and ordered to conduct the exam afresh by the Manipur Public Service Commission.
The High Court has directed the CBI to investigate the irregularities during the conduct of the Manipur Civil Service examinations within 3 months.
It may be mentioned that the irregularities came to light after a few candidates who did not clear the exam filed an RTI application asking for their answer sheets. A total of 1130 candidates had appeared in the main examination.
According to the RTI applicants, the evaluation was carried out in a ‘hasty and haphazard manner’ and results were declared just 10 days after the examination was conducted.
