Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has issued strict directives to Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to constitute task forces to look into reducing road accidents. It may be mentioned
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has issued strict directives to Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to constitute task forces to look into reducing road accidents.
It may be mentioned that the directive comes in the wake of recent road mishaps in the state.
The task force will include officials of the police, transport and excise department. Besides the Chief Minister has also directed the concerned officials to act tough against traffic rules violators.
Chief Minister Sonowal also extended financial assistance to the kin of those victims who lost their lives in a road accident at Rangagara in Tinsukia district on September 28.
