Narrow escape for Assam CM as chopper makes emergency landing at Lilabari

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had a narrow escape when the chopper he was travelling in had to make an emergency landing due to a mid-air crisis.

According to reports, the chopper got engulfed in clouds as the pilots lost visibility forcing them to take the chopper to a much higher altitude.

The chopper turned and twisted at least three times in air before making an emergency landing in Lilabari.

Sonowal was on his way from Guwahati to Lakhimpur on the Pawan Hans chopper when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sonowal is safe and has reached Narayanpur by road for a programme.
