Yet another attempt by China to enter Indian territory was successfully thwarted by locals of Chaglagam in Arunachal’s Anjaw district.
Alert locals sounded off the community heads and BJP MP Tapir Gao about the construction of a wooden bridge by the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) inside Indian territory in the frontier state.
This has been confirmed by Arunachal East Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao. Talking exclusively to Northeast Live, Gao said that the Chinese carry out such constructions very often to move into the Indian side.
Northeast Live has accessed exclusive visuals of the wooden bridge constructed by the Peoples Liberation Army at Doimru Nallah inside the Indian territory near Chaglagam in Anjaw district.
It is not the first time that China has trespassed into Indian territory in Arunachal. Earlier, too there have been several instances when Chinese troops had crossed over to the Indian territory as it continues to lay claim over the frontier state.
On January 2018, PLA troopers had entered India through the Tutin sector in Upper Siang district leading to face-off with the Indian security forces. It may be mentioned that the Chinese soldiers along with road construction materials had moved almost 1.25 km inside the imaginary Line of Actual Control.
Meanwhile, India has re-scheduled Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit. Yi was scheduled to visit India on September 9 for talks on boundary issues. The meeting was scheduled to be held with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. No new date has been fixed yet.
