The CBI have booked former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki for alleged corruption in awarding a contract for a government project to his brother in 2003.
Official sources have stated that contracts worth Rs 20 was given without following norms when Tuki was the minister of consumer affairs and civil supplies in the state.
Charges under which the FIR has been filed include Prevention of Corruption Act and cheating and forgery.
His brother Nabam Tangam, the then Director of civil supplies and chief manager of United Commercial Bank, Sohrab Ali Hazarika, have also been booked, as per reports.
